WASH Program

BLP WASH Program

Bright Light Projects (BLP) is an advocate and is implementing United Nations Sustainable Development Goal # 6 (SDG6) : Clean Water and Sanitation - Ensure Availability and Sustainable Management of Water and Sanitation for all.  For children under five, water- and sanitation-related diseases are one of the leading causes of death. Every day, over 800 children die from preventable diseases caused by poor water, and a lack of sanitation and hygiene.

Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) is one of our flagship programs that has created a huge impact reaching many beneficiaries. This program is mainly to advocate and promote Water Sanitation and Hygiene in rural communities in Sub Sahara Africa

BLP is implementing and recommends the EMAS technology focused on addressing one key target of SDG6: By 2030, achieve access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene for all and end open defecation, paying special attention to the needs of women and girls and those in vulnerable situations.
